Different is good.

Tell me something that you like to snack on. Preferably something interesting.

Lately, I haevn't been able to eat a full meal. I start to feel sick, and my stomach hurts after eating just a little bit of my meal. So I've started snacking.
Whole wheat toast with peanut butter. A mug of homemade soup. Etc. But I'm getting bored. I need new ideas.

It doesn't have to be way out there, just something that the general public doesn't eat, or that I probaby don't eat on regular basis.
For example, I like to eat small curd cottage cheese with tons of pepper, on top of a thin cheddar rice crisp. So very good.

Please make it something that's easy easy for me to buy or replicate.
Don't tell me about this awesome thing that you eat, available in Alaska.

Kashi Go Lean Crunch found in the cereal isle of your loal grocery. It' packed full of fiber and protein. I mix it with non-fat yogurt and raisins or strawberries in the mornings for breakfast and also eat it as a snack during the day. They also make a version that has blueberries in it. I have not tried it but a friend loves it and I plan to get some when I go grocery shopping this weekend.

1. garlic pickles
2. triscuits with vermont sharp cheddar (you can slice it tissue thin if you get the Cracker Barrel) and the combo is sublime
3. cottage cheese with garlic powder in it and melba toast for scooping
4. tomato sandwich (only good when tomatoes are in season and super ripe), with mayo on soft white bread (italian bread, not wonder bread)
5. kebab veggies, grilled
6. Panera wild rice soup *important* with fresh lemon squeezed into it
7. grilled cheese sandwich made with pumpernickel and swiss
chicken salad with dried cherries in it (mmmmmm) either on greens or for dipping with melba toast or bagel chips
8. Knorr spinach dip (according to the recipe on their vegetable soup box) with Pepperidge Farm pumpernickel sticks
9. homemade chicken quesadillas (shredded grilled chicken, mo-jack cheese, fajita seasoning, sandwiched between two tortillas and baked in the oven for a few minutes and cut into wedges with salsa or sour cream on the side

rice cakes these resemble puffed rice glued together to form a breadish slice health food section near the crackers
anyway

rice cakes
thinly sliced apple or pear
cheese of choice
salt and pepper to taste

these are my all time fav snack and if you pop them under the grill to melt the cheese are simply divine.
and good for you too.

Wow, Celeste's list made me hungry! I was going to suggest individually packaged string cheese and hard boiled eggs with some salt. But forget it now. I am going to go hang my head in unoriginal shame.

Pop a rice cake in the toaster until lightly browned.(Watch it, they burn quickly). Spread with cream cheese. Also good with Cream Cheese and Strawberry Jam.
Another wierd thing I love is cold sliced roast beef spread with sour cream and lots of salt and pepper.
